How to Block Ads on Chrome

If you’re looking for a simple way to reduce ads and improve browsing speed, installing a trusted ad blocker is the fastest option. Below is a quick, privacy-first setup using AdShield Pro.

1) Install the extension

Install AdShield Pro from the Chrome Web Store, then pin it so it’s easy to access.

2) Confirm blocking is enabled

Open a site with ads and reload. If ads remain, check that the site is not allowlisted and that the extension is enabled for the tab.

If you need help, see Support.

3) Customize per-site controls

Some sites break when blocking is too aggressive. Use per-site controls to disable blocking or allowlist a site when needed, then refresh.

Learn more about controls on Features.

4) Keep it private

Choose tools that don’t profile you. AdShield Pro is designed for offline-first, local-only filtering with no tracking or analytics.

Read the Privacy Policy.
