How to Block Ads on Chrome (2026 Guide)
Google Chrome doesn't have a built-in ad blocker, but adding one takes less than 60 seconds. This guide shows you how to block ads on Chrome using AdShield Pro — a free, Manifest V3-compatible extension.
Step 1 — Open the Chrome Web Store
Go to the AdShield Pro Chrome Web Store page or search 'AdShield Pro' in the Chrome Web Store.
Step 2 — Click 'Add to Chrome'
Click the blue 'Add to Chrome' button. A confirmation dialog will appear — click 'Add extension.'

Step 3 — Activate Ad Blocking
AdShield Pro starts blocking ads immediately after installation. You'll see the shield icon in your Chrome toolbar — it's already working.

What Gets Blocked?
